About the Machine
The IDEA Lab has a Go!SCAN 3D which is a fast, handheld 3D scanner. This scanner allows the user to measure complex surfaces in an instant, without needing multiple attempts. The machine itself is integrated with a 3D modeling software called VXelements, which allows the user to view the scanned material. After scanning an object, the user can then print the object on one of the 3D printers provided at the IDEA Lab.
This machine can be used by students, staff, and faculty.
We have two 3D scanners at the SHU IDEA Lab.
Specifications
Our 3D scanner weighs 2.7 pounds and a resolution of 0.100mm.
