What is an Arduino?
An Arduino is an open-source electronics platform. Arduino boards read inputs (i.e. pressing a button) and turns them into an output (i.e. when the button is pressed, the light turns on). These instructions are sent to the board using the Arduino Software (IDE) and Arduino programming language which can be used cross-platform (i.e can run on Windows, Macintosh OSX, and Linux).
What Can You Do with an Arduino?
There are many things you can do with an Arduino ranging from simple circuits that make a light blink, to more complex ones that control servo motors. The Arduino Project Hub is a great place to learn about Arduino projects that people from all over the world are working on.
