About the Machine

The Makerbot Method is the latest 3D printer from Makerbot Industries. This printer can be used to print a wide range of different projects. At the IDEA Lab, the Makerbot Method printers are exclusively for printing in carbon fiber filaments.

We have three Makerbot Method printers at the SHU IDEA Lab.

  • Removable magnetic heated bed
  • Automatic mesh bed leveling
  • Two extruders with .4mm nozzles
  • Requires 1.75mm diameter filament
  • Materials: ABS, Carbon Fiber
  • Layer heights from .02mm to .4mm
  • Build volume of 15.2 L x 19 W x 19.6 H cm / 6.0 x 7.5 x 7.75 in
